And in summer hikers, mountain bikers, mountaineers, horse riders and many others come here. The Jazz Music Festival in August is the most important cultural event in the city, and attracts thousands of visitors. Later that day we will go to SPA, have dinner, and discuss the further route.

The adventures continue. Today we are moving along the off roads. You will enjoy breathtaking views on the way. We will see the mythical Rhodope Mountains - one of the cradles of European civilization. The remains of Roman roads that have survived our days connects the Aegean cities with the Mountainous Thracian lowlands. We are planning to stop at a small alpine lake for a picnic and then go to the hotel in Dospat city, located on the shore of the reservoir.

The adventures continue off-road, in the Rhodope Mountains. We will admire untouched nature and panoramic views. The night we will spend in Devin city, known for its mineral water with miraculous properties.

Day 6. Devin - Smolyan about 100 km
Today we are moving through the most beautiful area in Radopi. They occupy 83% of the massif in Bulgaria and 17% in Greece. We will also cross the ski slopes of Pamporovo resort, where we will stop for lunch. Pamporovo is the southernmost and sunniest of Bulgaria's ski resorts. After that, we will go to the final point of our journey today - the city of Smolyan.
Day 7. Smolyan - Byal Izvor about 100 km
Smolyan lands used to belong to voivode Momchil, a brave public defender. The area has experienced all the hardships of the Ottoman yoke, and joined Bulgaria only in 1912. At all times it was a very poor and undeveloped region, where locals bred sheep, grew potatoes and processed wood. The city of Smolyan appeared in 1959 after the unification of three villages - Ustova, Raikov and Smolyan, whose roots go back centuries. In 1975, the population of the city was 30 thousand people. The economy was based on woodworking and tobacco industries, electrical engineering (cable production) and tourism. We continue to conquer the off-road!!!!!
Day 8. Byal Izvor - Zlatograd about 100 km
Today is our last day off-road, but our journey does not end there! By the evening we will reach Zlatograd. The main attraction of the city is the ethnographic complex Zlatograd with authentic houses of traditional architecture.
